Description

When you want to coax out all those nuances in a certain coffee – often in coffee blends that are more lightly roasted than your typical espresso – the flow control device can open up a new world of possibilities. The below video offers a quick peek at what is possible:

The new paddle is installed on top of the brew head, allowing manual control over the water flow that is delivered to the coffee puck. This makes manual pre-infusion possible and allows you to control the brew pressure at each stage of the extraction.

The included pressure gauge shows the exact pressure in the brew head. Not only does this give you direct response on what effect your use of the flow control paddle is having, it is also great information to have at full pressure since the pressure indicated on the pump gauge is not necessarily always the same as the pressure in the brew group.
