Description
The process called “backflushing” is an essential cleaning procedure for all espresso machines equipped with a 3-way solenoid valve and/or E61 grouphead.
Each time you make a shot on one of these machines some of the coffee gets sucked back into the group when you turn of the pump. Unless regular backflushing is performed this will lead to old, rancid coffee oils building up on the surface and inside the group head.
In combination with a good brush backflushing will keep your coffee tasting great and help your machine work properly.
